Evert Lindquist
Evert Lindquist is a journalist passionate about biodiversity and the environment. From Victoria, he completed journalism school at Carleton University and lives in Revelstoke, B.C., where he runs the newspaper and has a biweekly radio segment that explores coexistence with local wildlife. He spent summer 2024 in Uganda working with African broadcasters to amplify nature-based climate solutions. His work has appeared in Canada's National Observer, Climate Stories Atlantic, bioGraphic, Smithsonian Magazine and the Guardian. Outside, you'll find him hiking, snowshoeing and admiring wildlife.
