Jane Desbarats

Jane Desbarats is an independent consultant on climate change and energy currently living in Vancouver. She has come back to Canada after eight years consulting on climate change and energy issues for the European Commission, the private sector and other environmental agencies in the United Kingdom. Jane started her career in an engineering environment, learning the basics of carbon accounting and energy economics. Since then she has completed consulting assignments internationally focusing on the implementation of market mechanisms and the environment, the costs of greenhouse gas abatement, and the costs of adaptation measures. Jane has a B.A. in Political Science from McGill University, and an M.A. in Political Science from Carleton University.
