Kathryn Juricic

Development and impact manager

Kathryn is The Narwhal’s development and impact manager. She has been with The Narwhal right from the very beginning. She worked for five years as The Narwhal’s membership coordinator, helping to grow our pod of supporters from 200 to more than 7,000.

These days you’ll find her wearing many hats, from grant management to talking to major donors to working behind the scenes to organize both online and in-person events, the latter for which she has been known to handcraft artisan narwhal tusks. She’s the go-to gal for many aspects of our operations, from questions about donor-advised funds to strategic oversight on The Narwhal’s revenue.

It doesn’t stop there. Kathryn is part of The Narwhal’s audience team and also created our impact-tracking system, which is a novel way for us to track the impact of our journalism far beyond page views.

Kathryn lives on a small Gulf island off the West Coast of British Columbia, where she sews and tends her ever-growing community garden plot.
