Daniel Pierce
Daniel J. Pierce is a filmmaker and journalist based in Vancouver. His work explores the intersections between environmental, economic and Indigenous rights issues in Canada. For the past six years, Pierce has been producing a documentary series called Heartwood about the current state of B.C.'s forests and timber industry. His writing has appeared in The Narwhal, the Common Sense Canadian and Vice Motherboard. His documentary The Hollow Tree has appeared on Knowledge Network and CBC's Documentary Channel.
