Jess Housty
Living and working in the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest, Jess is a steward, storyteller, and community organizer from the Heiltsuk First Nation. Her work is focused on social and environmental justice, and building capacity for stronger indigenous governance and leadership. She was a finalist for the 2010 Ecotrust Indigenous Leadership Award, and an inaugural recipient of the UVic Provost's Advocacy and Activism Award in 2013.
