Terry Pender

Terry Pender started working as a journalist in 1984 and never stopped. He worked in local and national radio, as well as local and national newspapers. He has won regional, provincial or national journalism awards in every newsroom where he worked. The one he like most is having a sandwich named for him at the Yeti Cafe in downtown Kitchener — "The Terry Pender" is made on toasted multi-grain bread with Fuji apple, Asiago cheese and bacon. The Record has been his professional home for nearly 25 years, and he could not ask for a better place to practise his craft. His last name, Pender, means "of the pen, a writer."
