Jaahljuu (Graham Richard) belongs to K’eets’uu Nee (Star House) of Kyaanuusalii (Codfish People), a Haida branch of Kayxal (the Raven Matrilineages), descendants of SGuuluu Jaad (Foam Woman) from Yaan, Nee Kun and Nasduu Gwaayee (Hippa Island). He has years of experience working as a researcher and writer for Haida Laas, the official publication of the Council of the Haida Nation, and works in ecology, archaeology and cultural resource management in Haida Gwaii and the Great Bear Rainforest.
