Laura Proctor is a freelance photojournalist in Toronto, frequently covering news, politics and other stories for The Globe and Mail and The Canadian Press. She has contributed to a number of other publications and wires including The New York Times, The LA Times, Reuters, The Local and others. Originally from a small town near Orillia, Ont., she enjoys working in rural communities and has an interest in stories related to labour, class, housing and disability.
