Paloma Pacheco is a journalist and editor based in Vancouver. Her reporting and writing on art, culture, social issues and humans’ relationship to the natural world have appeared in The Globe and Mail, Canadian Geographic, The Tyee, Maisonneuve and POV Magazine, among other publications. In 2022 she was a finalist for Best Emerging Writer at the National Magazine Awards, and in 2020 she received the Max Wyman Award for Critical Writing emerging writer prize. She’s happiest near the ocean and with a good book in hand.
