Chad Hipolito is a husband, father, freelance photojournalist and professional photographer living life in the sticks in Malahat, B.C. on lovely Vancouver Island since 2011. Chad grew up in Calgary and got his editorial start following graduation from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology journalism program in 2005. After working nearly four years as a photographer in Red Deer, Alta., at his one and only staff job a weekly newspaper, Chad took a chance on life and left Alberta behind for the West Coast where he was born. His life has completely changed for the better and since then, he continues to string and pitch features and photo essays to The Globe and Mail, The Canadian Press, Postmedia, EPA, Agence France-Presse and Reuters. He's also a good standing member with the Duncan Chamber of Commerce where he works with corporate clients.
