Eva Wasney

Eva Wasney is The Narwhal’s Manitoba reporter, a role that’s part of a partnership with the Winnipeg Free Press. Eva is based in Winnipeg and previously worked as a reporter and editor with the Free Press, where she covered everything from food and music to women’s health and the rise of AI-generated news. She was named a National Newspaper Award finalist in 2022, and won an EPPY Award while reporting for The Brandon Sun. She is also the author of an award-winning community cookbook. Outside of work, Eva can be found making a mess in the kitchen and exploring Manitoba’s many campgrounds.
