Paul Gains has been a full-time freelance journalist for 31 years. His work has appeared in hundreds of periodicals around the world including Time, the New York Times, Outside Magazine, Canadian Geographic, the Toronto Star and The Globe and Mail. Assignments have taken him to more than 30 countries in Africa, South America, Europe, Asia and the Arctic. An advocate for wildlife, his passion is revealed in both his journalism and his speaking engagements on behalf of the species we share this planet with. He resides in Cambridge, Ont.
