Sonny Parker was born and raised in the Yukon Territory in northern Canada. He grew up in Dawson City and now calls Haines Junction home. At a young age he developed a passion for wilderness, adventure and natural history. That passion naturally led to a keen interest in photography and the power of visual storytelling. With a professional background and education in conservation biology, his artistic inspiration comes from the connections among landscapes, animals and people that make the North unique. Sonny hopes his images will get people excited about exploring the North’s wild places and conserving its wilderness and wildlife for future generations.
